  • LUCIFER → I, LUCIFER by Glen Duncan

If ‘what you truly desire’ is to get more of the charming Devil who vacations on earth, this is the right pick for you! • THE FALL → THE LADYKILLER by Martina Cole

Both are  cat and mouse chases of skilful detectives and deadly killers. Catch? Our killers are sadists, misogynists who target women. Double catch? Our detectives are fierce feminists and ruthless in their pursuit of justice. It is highly satisfying to watch this combination on screen, and trust me,Cole makes it works on print as well! But fair warning – its surely not for the faint-hearted!

  • HOUSE OF CARDS → THE CHANAKYA’S CHANT by Ashwin Sanghi

Scheming politicians? Check. A mastermind propelling the political career of another with underlying motives? Check.Highly unlikely comparison? Maybe at a first glance , but eerily similar once you dive deep as the characters in both strive to be the country’s First Person and ascend their way up in a mesh of lies and ruthlessness. As an added bonus, the book has mystical undertones that trace the journey of Chanakya, the master manipulator and strategist of the Mauryan Empire.
